Masquerade
The Event
Feb 12, 1998 marked the evening of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario's Gala Fund-Raiser entitled "Masquerade". A reception and silent auction was hosted at one of Toronto's finest downtown hotels, The Royal York.
Along with such people as Dan Ackroyd, Robert Batemen, Ann Murray and Michael J. Fox, Susan Schaefer, Canadian Artist, was asked to design and donate a mask. Her mask was auctioned with the proceeds going towards the Heart and Stroke Foundation's efforts.
"Earth Tones" — ceramic mask painted with acrylic paint, mounted on Canadian birch bark.
Susan says:
"I was honored to have been asked to participate in such a valiant and worthwhile event."
